Privacy Policy

The short version. This website has no analytics, no advertising trackers, no cookies and no sign-up form. Every file the page loads comes from our own server, so no other company is told that you visited. We do not sell or share your personal information. If you buy something, the shop is run by Fourthwall and their privacy policy covers that purchase.

What this website collects
Nothing you type, because there is nothing to type. This site has no contact form, no newsletter sign-up, no accounts and no comments. We run no analytics software, no advertising pixels and no session recording. We set no cookies.
One thing still happens automatically, as it does on any website, and you should know about it.

Nothing else on this page comes from anywhere else. The typefaces are served from this domain rather than from a font service, there are no embedded videos, no social media widgets, no comment system and no third-party scripts of any kind. Loading a page here tells no one but our host that you were here.
What is stored in your browser
If you switch between the dark and light theme, your choice is saved in your browser under the name sb-theme. It holds one word, either dark or light. It never leaves your device, it is never sent to us, and it is not a cookie. Clearing your browser data removes it.
The shop
Our shop is hosted by Fourthwall at shop.socialbatterystyle.com. When you place an order there, join the mailing list on that site, or contact the shop, Fourthwall processes that information as our service provider. Payment details go directly to their payment processor. We never see or store your full card details.
What we do see is the information needed to fulfil and support an order: your name, delivery address, email address and what you ordered. Read the Fourthwall privacy policy for how they handle it.
If you email us
We keep your message and your address so we can reply, and so we have a record if it relates to an order. Emailing us does not add you to any mailing list. Mail reaches us through the forwarding service provided by our domain registrar.
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
- We do not try to identify individual visitors.
- We do not use exit-intent popups, countdown timers or urgency banners.
Because we do not track visitors, there is nothing here for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. We honour those signals by not collecting the data in the first place.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, email beintouch@socialbatterystyle.com. We will respond within the time your local law requires. We may need to confirm who you are first, usually by asking you to write from the address attached to your order. In most cases the only information we hold came with an order, so including the order number is the quickest route.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area and you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
How long we keep things
Order records are kept as long as we need them for support, returns, accounting and tax. Email correspondence is kept until it is no longer useful, then deleted. Server logs are held by Netlify on their own retention schedule.
Children
This site and shop are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Where your information goes
Our host, our shop platform and our email forwarding are all based in the United States, so information handled by this site and shop is processed there. If you contact us or order from outside the United States, your information is sent there.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the site rather than made quietly.
